In Hinduism, we call the cow mother. It is said that if we worship one cow, 33 crore gods and goddesses are pleased and bless us. Cow protection is paramount for us. By worshiping cows, we not only gain merit, but also our health remains good and peace is also provided by the planets at the time of birth.
Shri Swaminarayan Gyanpeeth Salvav, USA has built a cowshed within the institution. Where many Gir cows like Yamuna, Radha, Ganga, Godavari reside. This cowshed was formally built on the holy day of Akshaya Tritiya. There are about 30 Gir cows here. Which are worshipped daily. The kind-hearted Shri Kapil Swami himself takes care of these cow mothers with love. Shri Harikrishna Swami takes very good care of the entire cow school.
The students of Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul bring roti for Mother Cow. They feed her from her hands. Here, along with education, the culture of Sanatan culture is also instilled. Every program begins here with cow worship and blessings of Mother Cow.
Every year on the day of Uttarayan, a yagna is performed in the cow school by worshiping Mother Cow and offering her many names. They are checked on time by a veterinary doctor. On every festival, a specific type of food is cooked for Mother Cow and fed with love and devotion. She is provided with high-quality food every day. Mother Cow is the mother of the world.
