PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Shree Swaminarayan Gyanpith Trust, Salvav believes in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam meaning “The Whole World is one family” and has always helped poor financially as well as socially backward people. Vapi is a center where patients can receive good healthcare facilities. Along with these facilities comes the issue of transportation as well as the tiffin service for the patients. The Trust started to provide free tiffin service to needy patients. These might include patients from several hospitals in Vapi as well as in remote areas. The service is a helping hand to many people who are coming from rural areas.
Vapi is a healthcare hub for many patients. Patients from the remote areas come to Vapi for the health services. Sometimes the patients have to stay at the hospitals for their health services. With no home and long stays in hospitals food costs for patients and family members put an additional burden.
The food is prepared at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Salvav. This food is nutritious and prepared taking all the necessary precautions. The tiffin consists of rice, dal, sabzi, and chappati. This is the staple diet that people can have. All the cost of preparing the tiffin is given by the Trust. The tiffin is distributed at several hospitals in Vapi. The patients get help from this service; the nutritional level of the patients as well as their family members is kept in mind. The traveling expense for preparing the tiffin from home as well as the time of the family members is reduced. If the family members plan to adjust the tiffin from other areas it will become very much costly for the family. The total cost from preparing the tiffins to taking the tiffins to the respective hospitals is given by the Trust. The total cost as well as the financial mobilization of the funds is mentioned in the Annexure.
